Do people believe evolution because they have been convinced by examining scientific evidence? Is evolution scientific but creation is unscientific? Is evolution promoted but creation suppressed? Do all scientists believe evolution? Are scientists always objective? Are people's views influenced by bias, preconceived ideas, and personal desires?

Evolutionists want people to believe that evolution is scientific and creation is unscientific. But do people accept evolution because of scientific evidence? Consider the following facts:
Suppression of Evidence
Virtually all “mainstream” sources of education promote evolution: schools and colleges, museums, national parks, libraries, and news media. This is so evident we need not document it.
However, many scientists and professional scientific organizations have published hundreds of materials that effectively refute evolution and defend creation. But most people are unaware of this information because media promote evolution and ignore the evidence for creation.
The introduction to a reprint of Darwin’s Origin of Species acknowledged the following:
“…scientific men rally to the defense of a doctrine they are unable to define scientifically, much less demonstrate with scientific rigor, attempting to maintain its credit with the public by the suppression of criticism…” (via Handbook of Religious Quotations, page 64)
This should not surprise Bible believers. Jesus said most people accept religious error.
Matthew 7:13,14 – …wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
Consensus of Scientists
Many people accept evolution because they are told that virtually all scientists believe it. But consensus of scientists is not evidence.
Scientists focus on their own limited field which rarely relates to the subject of origins. Of all the scientists in the world, few seriously examine the evidence for evolution versus creation; and if they do, most would be outside their own field of expertise. So of that “majority of scientists” who believe in evolution, the majority of them are just accepting the word of a small minority of scientists who defend evolution!
1 Corinthians 1:21-23 – To those who follow human wisdom, the truth of the gospel seems foolish. Regarding many religious issues, human wisdom leads people to reject truth.
Ulterior Motives
Scientists have a reputation for honestly pursuing factual evidence. But scientists are humans, and like other people, most approach the subject of origins with preconceptions. Their conclusions are based, not so much on science, but on religion and philosophy.
“I had motives for not wanting the world to have meaning; consequently assumed that it had none, and was able without any difficulty to find satisfying reasons for this assumption ... For myself, as no doubt, for most of my contemporaries, the philosophy of meaninglessness was essentially an instrument of liberation. The liberation we desired was simultaneous liberation from a certain political and economic system, and liberation from a certain system of morality. We objected to the morality because it interfered with our sexual freedom.” – Aldous Huxley (grandson of evolutionist Thomas Huxley) *
Do not be intimidated by claims that evolution is scientific but creation is unscientific. The scientific evidence for creation is stronger than that for evolution. But the issue of creation is primarily a matter, not of science, but of religion or philosophy. This means Christians should approach the subject as we do other religious issues.
Acts 17:11 – The fair-minded Bereans received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether the things they were taught were really true.
Those who seek to please God must search with honest hearts based mainly on the ultimate source of truth: God’s word. We know it is true because of valid evidence including fulfilled prophecy and eyewitness testimony of miracles and the resurrection.
